Tater Tot hotdog Casserole may be a crummy, savory, and fun new twist on solanaceous vegetable tot casserole and chili dogs!  This casserole is simple to form with leftover or canned chili!

HOW TO CREATE HOTDOG CASSEROLE WITH SOLANACEOUS VEGETABLE TOTS:
We like to use leftover chili from my Best straightforward Chili direction for this dish.  Or, you'll use 2 cans (40 ounces total, one huge will and one small) of your favorite quite chili with meat and beans.

Next, cut 10 hot dogs into rounds and stir into your chili.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 10 Hot Dogs Sliced
  • 1 25 Ounce Can Chili
  • 1 15 Ounce Can Chili
  • 1 1/2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 Package Frozen Tater Tots

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the sliced hot dogs, one cup of the cheese, and both cans of chili.
  3. Pour the chili mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. Top the mixture with an even layer of tater tots.
  5. Bake uncovered in preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  6. Top with remaining cheese and bake for 5 more minutes until cheese is melted.
